Accommodations & Meals
We've always recommended Dent Island Lodge for our fishing charter guests. It's an intimate luxury lodge located on an islet between Dent Island and the West coast of mainland British Columbia, Canada, right in the middle of some of the best BC fishing.
The Lodge caters to boaters and fly-in salmon fishing guests. It is tucked in among huge fir trees overlooking Canoe Pass; the amazing, fast-moving tidal rapids that surge between Dent Island and the Lodge islet.
When you sit on the lower deck of the lodge overlooking the rapids (enjoying a beverage after a successful day of salmon fishing) you can watch the seals "shoot" the pass, speeding through the narrow opening with the flow of the tide.
The Dent Island Lodge dining room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open for boaters as well as Lodge guests. The dining room is well respected for excellent gourmet cuisine and a stellar wine list.
Dent Island Lodge offers private cabin accommodations. There are four comfortable (and impeccably appointed) cabins near the lodge, sleeping a total of 24 guests. Each cabin has a unique character and all have stunning views of the water. The Tyee Lodge has 4 bedrooms - each with twin beds and ensuite bath. The Tyee is an ideal cabin for a group of 8 people with its huge deck, private living room, well-stocked bar and exclusive hot tub.
The Cordero Cabin has 3 bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds and ensuite bath. A large deck overlooks the waterfront and there is a cozy woodstove and well stocked bar in the living room. The word "comfort" comes to mind here.
The Captain's Cabin is the original lodging on the Dent Island property. The location was chosen for the spectacular westward vistas of Cordero Strait.
The Estero , formerly the owner's cabin, is secluded at the west end of the Dent Island Lodge property and faces south toward the turbulent waters of Tugboat Pass and the Dent Rapids.
Dent Island Lodge guests are welcome to use the new hot tub overlooking the Canoe Pass rapids, the sauna and exercise gym.
